Due to globalization, typefaces from Asian, Latin and Arabic origin come together with increasing frequency and characterize the appearance of international institutions, universities, trade fair sites, airports, internet portals and city districts. The coexistence of characters from different cultural backgrounds more and more affects the basic principles of written communication, principles which haven't been really explored yet.
